Do you struggle to switch off at night? Do racing thoughts, stress, or tension stop you from getting the deep, restorative sleep your body truly needs? If so, this special Sleep Workshop with Yoga With Melanie is designed just for you.

Join us on Sunday 29th March from 3pm until 7pm for a relaxing and nurturing afternoon dedicated to helping you unwind, rebalance your nervous system, and learn practical techniques that support better sleep naturally.

In today’s busy world many of us spend our days in a constant state of activity and stimulation. Screens, work pressures, busy schedules and daily responsibilities can leave our minds overactive long after our heads hit the pillow. The result is restless nights, light sleep, or waking up feeling tired and unrefreshed.

This workshop has been carefully designed to help you slow down, release tension and prepare your body and mind for deep rest.

During the afternoon you will be guided through a gentle two-hour yoga session specifically created to support sleep and relaxation. The practice will focus on calming the nervous system, releasing built-up physical tension and encouraging the body to move into a restful state.

The yoga session is suitable for all levels, including beginners. You do not need to be flexible or experienced with yoga. The emphasis is on gentle movement, breath awareness and relaxation rather than effort or performance. Every posture will be offered with options so you can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Throughout the session you will learn techniques that you can easily take home and use in your own bedtime routine. These may include:

• Gentle evening yoga sequences

• Breathing techniques that calm the mind

• Simple relaxation practices

• Ways to release stress stored in the body

• Tips for creating a more supportive sleep routine

These tools can help you move from the busy “fight or flight” state into the restorative “rest and digest” mode that is essential for quality sleep.

At 5pm we will pause for food, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat and refuel in a warm and friendly environment. The food will be lovingly prepared by Colin, adding a welcoming and homely touch to the afternoon and allowing everyone to enjoy a relaxed break together before the final part of the workshop.

The final hour of the afternoon will be dedicated to deep relaxation. You will be guided into a peaceful, restorative relaxation practice designed to quiet the mind and allow the body to completely let go of tension. This part of the session often becomes people’s favourite moment — a chance to truly switch off, recharge and experience what deep relaxation feels like.

By the end of the workshop you will hopefully feel calmer, lighter and more prepared for restful sleep, with practical tools you can continue to use long after the session ends.

The workshop will take place at St Anne’s Church Hall in Tottington (BL8 4AP) — a comfortable and welcoming space perfect for an afternoon of relaxation.

Spaces are limited to keep the environment calm and personal, so early booking is recommended.
